Songbird (2020)

This a Covid-19 2020 minireview!

“Curfew is now in effect. Stay Home. Stay Safe. Sane. Sanitize.” – Emmett Harland

Number of Times Seen – 1 (13 Dec 2020)

Brief Synopsis – During a new lock-down in the near future, a group of people deal with the various dangers of being outside and connecting with people around them.

Bottom Line – Very timely film that says so much about the way that this global pandemic has affected everyone and our thoughts about the future. The story takes things one step further and shows where things can possibly go in just a few short years. The various story lines are all quite interesting to watch and are presented in a pretty plausible (and scary) way because of the possibilities that they open up. The cast is great and I loved seeing Demi Moore, Bradley Whitford, Craig Robinson and Peter Stormare in this film. Recommended!

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – SAG-AFTRA issued a “Do not work” order on Songbird, telling its members to refuse any work on the film. (From IMDB)

Rating – Globe Worthy (7/10)
