Let Them All Talk (2020)

This a Covid-19 2020 minireview!

“When I read this novel, it’s impossible for me not to think what a miracle it is That the universe emerged, what a miracle it is that consciousness emerged. And what a miracle it is that Blodwyn Pugh, her thoughts and experiences, that they could reach across time and reach into my consciousness. That’s a miracle.” – Alice

Number of Times Seen – 1 (15 Dec 2020)

Brief Synopsis – A world famous author takes a cruise with her two best friends while working on her newest novel.

Bottom Line – Really boring film that despite such a wonderful cast isn’t able to be engaging at all. Meryl Streep plays the lead character in a strange way and her character is never becomes likable based on how she acts the whole way through.. Her chemistry with her two best friends played by Candice Bergen and Dianne Wiest lacks any kind of genuine connection which is a bit problem. The story moves in some very strange directions and fails to really give us something more enjoyable to watch.

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – The screenplay only consists of outline of scenes. All the dialogue were improvised by the cast. (From IMDB)

Rating – Razzie Worthy (4/10)
