Brief Synopsis – The head of a Palm Springs retirement community must deal with a new tough tenant and a regional supervisor while trying to stay alive after a mob hit is put out on him.

My Take on it – This is a film that I came across by accident and was intrigued by the cast.

Morgan Freeman, Tommy Lee Jones and Rene Russo all help make tings more fun to watch even if the film and its story are a bit too silly and far fetched the whole way through.

This film has some fun moments along the way which help make things more enjoyable even if overall it’s quite lacking.

The trio of leads have great chemistry with one another that makes it more fun to watch them in scenes together.

The script unfortunately is quite mediocre and even with a great cast like this, is quite difficult to overcome.

The characters and story are far too superficial and that makes it harder to care about anything that happens here to any of them.

The film also has a great supporting cast, but they also aren’t able to find ways to overcome this very bland and unoriginal story.

Great seeing Glenne Headly in one of her final roles even if she isn’t given enough to do.

Joe Pantoliano is also fun to watch in a very small role.

Bottom Line – Fun film that works better due to the great cast even if parts are a bit too silly and far fetched. Freeman, Jones and Russo all have nice chemistry together, but they cant overcome this mediocre script that leaves all of the characters and story far too superficial. Nice seeing both Heady and Pantoliano in small but fun roles in this film. The film’s supporting cast is also populated with some great actors who each have nice moments here but overall, the story is bland and unoriginal.
