This a Covid-19 2020 minireview!

“Whenever we were ignorant, in a lot of places, they thought it was a joke.” – Mike Nichols

Number of Times Seen – 1 (27 Dec 2020)

Brief Synopsis – Documentary about the life and career of comedian/actor turned director, Mike Nichols.

Bottom Line – Interesting film that is able to give us lots of insight about the life and career of one of the most lauded directors in history. Nichols himself gave part of he interviews before his passing not long afterwards. The interviews with his contemporaries, actors, fellow film makers and others give us so much insight into the way that he worked because we get to see why he was considered such an amazing director. He as so prolific because of the way that he jumped around from stage, to screen to TV over and over during his very long and productive career. Recommended!

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Along with an Academy Award, Nichols won a Grammy Award (the first for a comedian born outside the United States), four Emmy Awards, nine Tony Awards, and three BAFTA Awards. (From Wikipedia)

Rating – Globe Worthy (7/10)
