This a Covid-19 2020 minireview!
“Don’t worry, they’re fine. You can’t crush a soul here. That’s what life on Earth is for.” – 22
Number of Times Seen – 1 (25 Dec 2020)
Brief Synopsis – An aspiring musician who teaches music at a inner city middle school gets the chance of his lifetime to play in a real gig, but something goes terribly wrong along the way.
Bottom Line – Really inspirational film that works really well. Pixar once again is able to give us a tale that is fun for kids on one level, but even more poignant for adults. The various concepts discussed here are quite profound and leave the viewer with much to ponder for days after viewing. The voice cats is great with Jamie Foxx and Tia Faye doing wonderful jobs with these characters. The animation is wondrous to watch especially when they bend reality with the mystical. Can’t wait to watch this again. Highly Recommended!
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – The name tags of a few previous mentors of 22 that appear on her wall are: Michael Jackson, Prince, Martin Luther King, Jr., Steve Jobs, Aretha Franklin, and late Pixar director Joe Ranft. (From IMDB)
Rating – Oscar Worthy (9/10)

I agree completely! The way animation has moved on is absolutely insane. In some of the scenes, it was difficult to remember that it wasn’t actually live action.
