An Interview With God (2018)

This a Covid-19 2020 minireview!

“People make choices, and those choices have consequences. And if knowing my will were part of every human decision, how would anything ever happen? Hmm? You’d be paralyzed every morning decide whether to brush tour teeth vertically or horizontally. ” – The Man

Number of Times Seen – 1 (28 Dec 2020)

Brief Synopsis – A reporter is granted an interview with a man claiming to be God and their sessions lead to some startling revelations.

Bottom Line – Profound film that works so well because of how realistic it feels. The dialogue is superbly written and allows us to get a clear understanding of everything that happens here. The cast is great with David Strathairn and Brenton Thwaites both giving stellar performances. The debates between the characters are quite engaging and help make things so enjoyable to listen to because of the way it all plays out.  They do a wonderful job keeping things slightly ambiguous so that we need to decide for ourselves what is real and what is possibly not. Recommended!

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – The film was released theatrically on 8/20/18 by Fathom Events on about 900 screen and became their top grossing faith film of all time, with each day’s box office significantly out-performing the previous day’s. Almost unheard of. (From IMDB)

Rating – Globe Worthy (8/10)
