This a Covid-19 2020 minireview!
“The point is: If you want something bad, you can never give up.” – Brian McKnight
Number of Times Seen – 1 (29 Dec 2020)
Brief Synopsis – A man wakes up on the morning of his wedding naked and stuck in a time loop that forces him to relive the same day over and over.
Bottom Line – Hilarious concept that works so well. Marlon Wayans is perfectly cast in the lead role and makes the most of this role. The overall story itself is inconsequential, but the way that things play out is so funny to watch unfold. The supporting cast is also great and I loved seeing Regina Hall and Dennis Haysbert here in very enjoyalbe roles. Things might be a bit simple, but it still works well because the film is a breath of fresh air. Recommended
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – The portrait at the back of the classroom early in the movie is of H.G. Wells, author of ‘The Time Machine’ (1895), likely a reference to the time loop plot. (From IMDB)
Rating – Globe Worthy (7/10)
