Brief Synopsis – Luke Skywalker and his friends try to find a way to save Han Solo, who has been frozen in Carbonite, from the vile gangster Jabba the Hutt.
Bottom Line – Great continuation of the epic story of Star Wars. The characters have been developed well enough in the previous two films. The greatest thing about this film is that it is able to jump right into the action an story as it takes off from the end point of the previous film. The do a wonderful job here introducing new characters to the mix while strengthening the bonds between the old characters. The special effects are amazing and it helps make things so realistic to watch unfold. The cast is great with Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher all doing wonderful jobs with these roles. The film is action packed and moves along at such a great pace. The way that they have three simultaneous battles waging at the same time is great and the editing between them is seamless. One of my all time favorite films that I know practically by heart and could watch on a loop because it is so much fun to watch t all unfold. Highly Highly Recommended!
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Carrie Fisher really cared about Warwick Davis’ well-being during filming, as he had to spend it in a hot Ewok costume. She also provided him with cookies and chocolate milk between takes. Davis later commented “She was everything an eleven-year-old Ewok could possibly wish for.” (From IMDB)
Rating – Oscar Worthy (10/10) (no change from original review)
