“The only advice I can give you is stay as calm as you can. Most of the time, these kids just wander away.” – Sheriff Baker

Number of Times Seen – 1 (20 Jan 2021)

Brief Synopsis – A couple on vacation at a camping area alert the local sheriff when their daughter mysteriously disappears.

My Take on it – This is a film that I heard about a few months back and was quite intrigued to see due to the amazing cast that includes Thomas Jane, Anne Heche and Jason Patric.

They do a wonderful job keeping the story so riveting and thrilling as things begin to unfold.

We can easily sympathize with the plight that this couple has found themselves in and knowing that time is of the essence adds so much to things.

Jane and Heche have great chemistry together as parents who are willing to do whatever it takes in order to find their missing daughter.

Patric is also great as the local sheriff who due to his own personal issues, gives even more of himself to this investigation that hits home too much for him.

Love the way that the story unfolds because it allows us to learn so much about this couple as they continue their search in the most unexpected places.

The story stays really mysterious the whole time due to the myriad of surprises that pop up along the way that help enhance the story even more.

The plot stays thrilling throughout due to the urgency of things and due to the way that things snowball as the story progresses.

Bottom Line – Fascinating and riveting thriller that works so well. Both Jane and Heche are perfect as the couple dealing with the disappearance of their young daughter. Patrick is also great here as the local sheriff with his own problems that does all he can to help them. The story moves along in a very intriguing way and they do a wonderful job of keeping things so mysterious while adding so many surprises to the story along the way. The plot plays out in a very thrilling way especially as we get to see how things snowball as things unfold.  Recommended!

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Reunites Anne Heche and Thomas Jane, who also played a married couple (albeit divorced) in the HBO show Hung. (From IMDB)

Rating – Globe Worthy (7/10)
