The Babymakers (2012)

“Oh, I don’t think I’m more important than Jesus, but unless he can miracle a baby up into my wife’s vagina then I gotta take a pass.” – Tommy

Number of Times Seen – Twice (20 Aug 2012 and 7 Feb 2021)

Brief Synopsis – After finding out that he is infertile, a man and his friends decide to rob the sperm bank that stored his deposits from when he was single.

My Take on it – Hilarious film that works so well due to the extremes that they take things.

The overall premise is great and we get to understand even more about these characters and their love for one another by the way things play out.

The comedy is both verbal and physical and despite being a bit raunchy, the story is filled with non-stop laughter in all that it does.

The characters are so much fun to watch and manage to keep things feeling so realistic in their overall goal.

The cast is great and they all help keep things so enjoyable.

Love the way that the film is able to deal with such a subject in a very p front manner because it helps add to the humor of it all while showing that these kind of issues are common and that they have an ingenious (yet silly at the same time) solution to the problems of these characters.

The standout here tho is Jay Chandrasekhar who plays an extremely funny and crazy character that steals every scene he is in.

In addition, he is also the director of this film and is able to keep it all so entertaining throughout.

Recommended!
