The idea behind this feature (Genre Guesstimation) is for me to watch a bunch of new movies (or ones that I haven’t seen many times) from the chosen monthly GG genre in order to expand my knowledge of movies within that particular genre.
This month’s genre has been chosen by Aaron Neuwirth of the Code is Zeek and we will be reviewing our favorite Horror-Comedy Films.
Please get me your submissions by the 25th of Feb by sending them to firstname.lastname@example.org
Try to think out of the box! Great choice Aaron!
Let’s see if I felt that this movie would be worthy of being in the company of my others favorite movies in the genre of Horror-Comedy Films……

Brief Synopsis – Following a zombie apocalypse, 4 survivors band together in order to try and get across America.
My Take on it – This is a film that takes the whole premise of a Zombie apocalypse in stride.
The characters are fun to watch, especially given the way that they each are developed so well as the story unfolds.
The film mixes together horror and comedy so well that it is able to keep things so enjoyable as the story progresses.
Each of the characters have very unique personalities which helps show how they all were able to survive for so long in this deadly world.
The cast is great with Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin all doing wonderful jobs holding their own against lots and lots and lots of Zombies.
The film’s scenes with Bill Murray are great fun and helps set the tone for life that people need to live in this kind of world.
The narration by Eisenberg is superbly done because it gives us so much more insight into the world of this Zombie Apocalypse.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Woody Harrelson was arrested for marijuana possession during filming, which delayed shooting for a day. (From IMDB)
Genre Grandeur Worthy? – Comes really close. Very fun Zombie flick that knows that they don’t need to take things so seriously.
Rating – Globe Worthy (8/10) (no change from original review)
