Number of Times Seen – Twice (9 Nov 2012 and 15 Feb 2021)
Brief Synopsis – A group of unemployed slackers living in a musician’s house for free need to find a way to buy the house before he sells it.
My Take on it – Really stupid yet funny film that isn’t very coherent.
The story is a simple one, yet they find some really entertaining ways for these characters to try and solve the problem that they are faced with.
The characters are all really superficial, yet since they all fit stereotypes, there isn’t a need to go any deeper in order to find out more about them.
The various things that they try here are presented in really fun ways despite the fact that most of them have no chance of succeeding from the onset.
The cast is filled with a group of comedians who have worked together in the past so it helps make things fun to watch because they have great rapport and chemistry with one another.
Love the way that there are numerous scenes in the film that surprise and actually go in the opposite direction of what one might expect.
Some of the jokes go a bit too far and are quite raunchy, but they still work within the context of this (flimsy) story.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – When the guys are talking to Adam over the intercom after the pirate porn shoot scene, the caller i.d. on the intercom can be seen as an obvious sticker and not actual text on the machine. (From IMDB)
Rating – Razzie Worthy (4/10)
