Stone Cold (1991)

“You know, it’s in moments like this that I think of my father’s last words. Which were: “Don’t son, that gun is loaded!” ” – Chains

Number of Times Seen – 1 (19 Feb 2021)

Brief Synopsis – A cop is sent undercover by the FBI to infiltrate a motorcycle gang that seem to be a threat to the government.

My Take on it – Terrible attempt at an action movie.

Brian Bosworth unfortunately doesn’t know how to act and should have stayed on the football field instead of trying to break into the action movie scene like numerous of his companions.

This film just doesn’t work on any level and it all comes across so poorly.

The action scenes are presented in a very silly fashion and that takes away any kind of realistic feel for the way things progress.

Lance Hendrickson is always great on films, but he plays this characters in such a strange way that even as a villain it’s hard to believe his performance here.

The rest of the cast also don;t manage to find ways to help make this feel anything more than a typical action flick with no real purpose which was part of the way that they were churning out films in the genre at the time.

The story moves along at a very strange pace which also hurts things far too much

Thankfully, this film is relatively short and clocks in at a lean 90 minutes, so it wasn’t so agonizing to get through.

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Lance Henriksen wrote his own lines for every scene. (From IMDB)

Rating – Razzie Worthy (2/10)
