“How can I know who I am, until I find out who I was? ” – Jack Frost
Number of Times Seen – Twice (20 Feb 2013 and 21 Feb 2021)
Brief Synopsis – The moon bands together the group of guardians to try and stop evil in the world from destroying childhood innocence.
My Take on it – Such a grat concept that works really well throughout.
The idea of taking some very well known mystical and iconic figures and brand them as the guardians of the world is great.
Jack Frost, Santa Claus, The Tooth Fairy, The Easter Bunny and The Sandman are all great legends that when put together really can be such a great team.
The story takes these legends and shows how powerful they each can be which is quite an accomplishment especially given how we all know of them and the holidays and events that they represent.
The film’s voice cast is superb with Chris Pine, Alec Baldwin, Hugh Jackman, Isla Fisher playing some of the guardians.
Jude Law is also great as the villain who does all he can to make the children of the world forget these legendary figures in order to take control.
The premise works so well and they are able to give such a profound story that wraps together all of these figures in a very unique way that helps keep things so powerful to watch unfold.
The film’s message is great and is geared towards both children and adults alike and that helps make things even more poignant to watch.
So glad that they chose not to make this into a series because the stand alone nature of this story is great and would be diminished if they inundated us with less powerful story lines for these characters.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Aside from the Guardians and Pitch, none of the adult characters’ faces are clearly seen. (From IMDB)
Rating – Oscar Worthy (9/10)
