“Nick, great moments come from great opportunities. And that’s what you’ve earned here today. It’s what you’ve earned here today.” – Ronnie Valentine
Number of Times Seen – Twice (5 Jun 2011 and 22 Feb 2021)
Brief Synopsis – After discovering that his best friend’s wife is cheating, a man must try and figure out how to let his friend know.
My Take on it – Great film that is able to take a really serious kind of situation and pepper in some comedy along the way.
Kevin James and Vince Vaughn are mostly known for their comic talents, but they get the tone of this film just perfect and keep things so fascinating to watch throughout.
The way that this film deals with relationships and friendships is superb and that helps keep things so engaging from start to finish.
Vaughn and James have amazing chemistry with one another and that helps make us truly believe their friendship as we see how each is torn by having to try and help the other in different situations throughout the film.
The supporting cast is also great with Winona Ryder, Jennifer Connely, Channing Tatum and Queen Latifah all bring so much to their characters and the overall story line.
The situations that these characters get themselves into along the way leave the viewer with so much to ponder because of the direction that this film takes the plot which works quite well the whole way through.

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – During shooting in the United Center for the “Shoot the Puck” scene, Kevin James actually made it into the net while practicing for the scene. The extras in the United Center erupted with “Chelsea Dagger” to commemorate his accomplishment. (From IMDB)
Rating – Globe Worthy (8/10)
