Number of Times Seen – 1 (24 Feb 2021)
Brief Synopsis – After getting fired from his job a TV children’s personality does all he can to get revenge on his replacement.
My Take on it – Such a great premise that just doesn’t work well enough to thrill.
The cats is superb with Robin Williams and Edward Norton playing the two leads, but things go to very dark places along the way that take so much away from this story line
The characters are all a bit too erratic in their actions and they take everything to the far extreme regardless of whether dealing with the right or left.
Danny Devito directed this film and despite there being a lot of merits to the characters and the events of the film, the over the top attitude just doesn’t work ell enough.
Devito himself has a small yet integral role here and helps fill out the supporting cast which includes Catherine Keener, Jon Stewart, Danny Woodburn, Vincent Schiavelli and Michael Rispoli.
The way that this film portrays the entertainment industry is quite eye opening because despite knowing taking things to the extreme, it is all obviously based on the dog eat dog world of entertainment.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Jim Carrey was attached to star at one point but eventually dropped out to do The Majestic (2001) (From IMDB)
Rating – BAFTA Worthy (5/10)

As a guy who just genuinely can’t stand Robing Williams, this movie is an extraordinary level of excruciating.

Good Morning Vietnam is the exception to the rule.

Not even Robin Williams was safe from bad movies. Or, for that matter, is Edward Norton. When I first saw the pictures for this movie I thought he looked like Barney.
