Number of Times Seen – 1 (18 Apr 2021)
Brief Synopsis – A man wakes up one morning with an alien creature attached to his head which gives him such a great feeling that he never wants it to end.
My Take on it – Horrendous film that makes so little sense what so ever.
The special effects are done really poorly and take away from even attempting to find a way to feel any realism in everything that transpires here.
The characters aren’t developed in any way that would make us care about them or about what will happen to them and that also hurts things even more.
After watching this film, I read that it is a metaphor for drug use which actually helps make things make a bit more sense, but the extreme way that things are presented here still aren’t erased once one knows that fact.
The story takes things a bit too far in various circumstances along the way and there is even a very controversial scenes that was excised from many copies of the film.
This scene doesn’t add anything to the story and one could easily argue that it drags the film down even further and probably shouldn’t have been n the film regardless.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – On the subway, Brian sees a man carrying a big basket with a lock on it. The character is Duane Bradley w/Belail inside the basket from Frank Henenlotter’s previous film, Basket Case (1982). (From IMDB)
Rating – Razzie Worthy (1/10)
