“Nooo, no. I hate her. In fact, the day you broke up with her I marked that down on my calendar as a day of rejoicement. I’m going to celebrate it with a cake with her face on it, but instead of eating it, we smash it.” – Stainer
Number of Times Seen – Twice (25 May 2011 and 4 May 2021)
Brief Synopsis – A down on his luck TSA agent falls in love with a beautiful party planner, but will he be able to overcome his insecurities?
My Take on it – Fun romantic comedy that works really well largely due to the script and cast.
The chemistry between Alice Eve and Jay Baruchel is superb and helps make things feel even more believable as thing unfold.
The group of friends that these characters each have are so much fun to watch and these friendships flow so well over the course of the film.
T.J. Miller, Nate Torrence, Mike Vogel and Krysten Ritter are al great here and enhance the story due to their support of their friends.
The film has a great premise and the message really resonates throughout because it is such a realistic idea for everyone to try and wrap their heads around.
The film borders on being too raunchy, but it still does it’s best to keep things feeling genuine and realistic in all that it does which helps make the story even more relatable to the viewer as it progresses.
The script is great and does its best to try and keep things feeling as if everything that happens is plausible.
Love the way that Nate Torrence’s character constantly spews movie quotes the whole way through.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – One of the difficulties of shooting at a real airport was that the 400 extras all had to clear security – so they weren’t allowed liquids or sharp objects. (From IMDB)
Rating – Globe Worthy (8/10)
