Transporter 3 (2008)

“Do I look like a man who came half-way across Europe to die on a bridge?” – Frank Martin

Number of Times Seen – 1 (14 Jul 2021)

Brief Synopsis – Frank takes on a transport job after an associate is killed taking a package to Bucharest.

My Take on it – Fun addition to the series that works due to the great action performance of Jason Statham.

The story itself feels slightly repetitive of some of the aspects of the previous two films and that hurts things a bit because the story doesn’t feel as unique and original as one might hope.

The action scenes are dealt with well and this adds to the thrilling aspects of the movie despite not having much “meat” to it all.

Robert Knepper is nice as the villain even though he is able to stay in control of himself the whole way through.

Love the wristband aspects of the film because it reminds me of simpler movies dealing with similar technologies like The Running Man (1987) and Wedlock (1991).

The story is a bit too far fetched in the way that it all plays out and it all feels as if they are stretching too much with this premise.

The friendship between Statham and François Berléand is still nice to see even after if it all feels a bit too comical in the way that it is presented here.

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Olivier Megaton views the “Transporter” franchise as being somewhere in between the James Bond and “Die Hard” series, with a slight edge to “Die Hard”. (From IMDB)

Rating – BAFTA Worthy (5/10)
