Tnx for letting me partake Ladies, this was sooo much fun!
Number of Times Seen – 1 (22 Jul 2021)
Brief Synopsis – After saving a nun from being raped and murdered by bandits in Mexico, a bounty hunter joins forces with her in order to help a revolution in the country.
My Take on it – This is a really fun Western that works due to the great chemistry between the two leads – Clint Eastwood and Shirley Maclaine.
The two of them bicker and banter their way across the Mexican desert and it’s quite enjoyable to watch this happen.
The story plays out really well and the y add in some great twists and turns along the way that help keep things feeling so innovative as the story unfolds.
The way that Eastwood plays this character is like he usually does; in a calm and collected manner which helps keep things so thrilling to watch happen since like Eastwood, the story takes its time to unfold.
The story is effective and despite not being the best film ever made in this genre, still has much to enjoy as things progress in directions one might not necessarily expect.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Shirley MacLaine gets top billing in the credits (both opening and closing). This was the last time Clint Eastwood received second billing – or anything less than first – until A Perfect World (1993), and the only time his leading lady was played by an A-list star until The Bridges of Madison County (1995). Rating –Globe Worthy (7/10)
