“Well, here’s another nice mess you’ve gotten me into. ” – Oliver
Number of Times Seen – 1 (28 Jul 2021)
Brief Synopsis – Two businessmen convince their wives that they are going on a cruise for their health in order to go a convention of a society that they belong to.
My Take on it – Really fun Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy film that manages to stay enjoyable throughout.
The chemistry and comic timing between these two is amazing to watch because it adds so much to the hilarity of it all.
The premise of this film is timeless and still remains relevant today and that adds to things also.
The way that this comedy of errors plays out is done in such an enjoyable way and that enhances the story because the viewer can predict the kind of trouble these characters find themselves in yet never know how they will be able to get themselves out of trouble along the way.

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – According to studio publicity releases, scenes had to be re shot frequently because director and crew would often break up in laughter over the stars’ antics. The story went on to assert that Stan Laurel’s expression in the scene with Charley Chase was so funny “that it completely upset the equanimity of Hardy, and it was several minutes before the latter was able to regain his composure.” According to film historian Richard W. Bann (a specialist on the films produced by Hal Roach Studios), Hal Roach recalled in 1979 how often such things happened on set. “I was never upset that it was costing me money,” he said. “I was upset that we couldn’t use some of the funniest scenes we saw every day,” the ones that were ruined by cast or crew members breaking up. Rating – Globe Worthy (7/10)
