“Hey, Man! What are you doing? You just wasted good weed! ” – Archie Moses
Number of Times Seen – 1 (5 Aug 2021)
Brief Synopsis – Years after finding out that his best friend is an undercover policeman, a mobster enlists the help of the police to protect him as a witness against his boss.
My Take on it – Really silly crime comedy that doesn’t work on any level.
Damon Wayans and Adam Sandler are terrible here as friends and partners.
They have horrendous chemistry and their banter is extremely annoying to have to listen to because it just isn’t funny at all.
The action scenes are too simplified and don’t add any thrills or suspense to the story at all.
The plot has been done numerous times before and this is far from being one of the best since it isn’t believable at all.
The story comes across as being much too predictable and silly and that takes so much away from making this enjoyable to watch unfold.
James Caan plays his mobster character in an over the top fashion that makes him even more laughable than this type of character should be.
James Farentino was a great actor, but he also doesn’t work well here as Wayan’s police captain.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – When Keats (Damon Wayans) and Moses (Adam Sandler) are in the bar, one mentions that his kebab meat “looks like something out of Jeffrey Dahmer’s refrigerator.” Jeffrey Dahmer was a serial killer who would cut up his victims and would sometimes keep parts of them in his refrigerator. (From IMDB)
Rating – Razzie Worthy (3/10)
