The Evil That Men Do (1984)

This a Covid-19 2021 minireview!

“I’m gonna rattle his cage. And when he sticks his neck out, I’ll nail him.” – Holland

Number of Times Seen – 1 (19 Aug 2021)

Brief Synopsis – A retired assassin returns to the profession after a journalist friend is killed.

Bottom Line – This is a typical by the numbers Charles Bronson action thriller. The story doesn’t give the viewer anything new or innovative and things play out in a very predictable manner throughout. The action scenes are a bit over the top but the inclusion of Bronson in the story makes things more enjoyable to watch unfold. The villain isn’t as menacing as one might hope and expect and that also takes away so much from the potential of this kind of story.

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Since Charles Bronson first began working at the Cannon Group on Death Wish II (1982), this picture is the only film during the 1980s decade that Bronson didn’t make with them. (From IMDB)

Rating – BAFTA Worthy (5/10)
