The Green Knight (2021)

This a Covid-19 2021 minireview!

“Is it wrong to want greatness for you?” – The King

Number of Times Seen – 1 (23 Aug 2021)

Brief Synopsis – Sir Gawain goes off on a quest to seek out the Green Knight.

Bottom Line – This was a film that I highly anticipated since I’ve always been a fan of tales of the knights of the Round Table.  Unfortunately, this film is told in a far too slow and deliberate way which makes things feel so boring along the way. The film does give a very intriguing look at this famous story, but fails to make it interesting or compelling enough based on how things are presented. Dev Patel is a great choice for the lead role, but never manages to truly make the story feel more engaging to watch happen.

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – The idea for adapting The Green Knight came to David Lowery while he was setting up a diorama of Willow action figures in his backyard. (From IMDB)

Rating – Razzie Worthy (2/10)
