Number of Times Seen – 1 (10 Sep 2021)
Brief Synopsis – Documentary that takes a look at the past 15 years of James Bond with Daniel Craig in the role of the world’s best super spy.
My Take on it – This is a documentary that I came across in the slew of Bond paraphernalia that has been used to tout the final Daniel Craig edition in the franchise.
They do a nice job here recapping the stories of the previous 4 films while also giving the viewer a nice preview of what is to come in this final installation.
They also explain the history of how Craig became Bond and more importantly, how he has become one of the most popular actors to have inhabited this role in the nearly 60 years since its inception.
The interviews with cast and crew both from the upcoming film and from the previous outings gives a lot of insight into the character and into the way that people perceive him over the course of time.
Craig’s version of this character is most action packed and action geared of all of his predecessors and that is probably why it has been embraced in ways that none of the other were despite also giving great performances as this super spy.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Director Baillie Walsh previously directed Daniel Craig in ‘Flashbacks of a Fool’, released in the 2008 same year as ‘Quantum of Solace’, as well as two official James Bond commercials, the Sony ‘Skyfall’ Television Commercial (2012) and the Sony ‘Quantum of Solace’ Television Commercial (2008). Rating – Globe Worthy (8/10)
