Brief Synopsis – Musical about how life in a small town of Newfoundland was disrupted due to the events of 9/11.

My Take on it – This was a film (and musical) that truly blew me away.

I was dumbstruck from the very first song and it kept me enthralled all the way through.

The story is told so well and they find a way to make these various characters come to life right before us.

The fact that hundreds, if not thousands of planes were stranded due to the events of 9/11 is no secret, but the way that they describe the way life was disrupted in this small town is amazing to watch.

Love the way that the relatively small cast is able to play multiple characters to help give a sense of the vast number of people stranded after that awful day.

The pacing is great and it’s so enjoyable listening to how they tell each of these individual stories while also telling the greater story about the selflessness of the town at the same time.

The music is amazing and the sings are quite catchy in the way that they help add so much more depth into the description of everything that transpired there.

The choice to film the musical version of this instead of trying to create a cinematic version works really well and allows for things to feel even more intimate to watch unfold.

This is definitely a movie that I plan t watch again because it was so profound from start to finish.
