“Gotham City. Clean shafts of concrete and snowy rooftops. The work of men who died generations ago. From here, it looks like an achievement. From here, you can’t see the enemy.” – Bruce Wayne
Number of Times Seen – Twice (9 Jun 2016 and 24 Sep 2021)

Brief Synopsis – Batman and Gordon arrive to Gotham at the beginning of their careers which leads to things neither expected or could have predicted.
Bottom Line – Amazing take on the story of Batman especially due to the graphic nature of how things play out. The story stays so fascinating to watch unfold the whole way through due to the unique perspective of the story. It’s very gritty and that adds so much to helping make this so powerful to watch unfold.
Highly Recommended!
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – “Batman: Year One” was almost adapted as a live-action film to be directed by Darren Aronofsky from a screenplay by Frank Miller. “Warner Bros.” scrapped the project in favor of Christopher Nolan’s “Batman Begins” (2005). (From IMDB)
Rating – Oscar Worthy (9/10) (no change from original review)
