“This Is The Real Purge… The Forever Purge ” – Chiago
Number of Times Seen – 1 (18 Oct 2021)
Brief Synopsis – When the New Founding Fathers regain control of America, they reinstate The Purge, but there are too many citizens who will not suffice with one day a year of approved violence.
My Take on it – Mediocre addition to the series that does manage to expand a bit more on the philosophy and repercussions of having this kind of government running things.
The story doesn’t give much time and energy towards developing any of the characters and that makes them all feel more like cannon fodder since there is no reason to feel a connection to any of them.
Like the previous films in the franchise, the story revolves around senseless violence and they never give the audience a real answer as to why people seem to be acting like this.
The story leaves things a bit too open ended with the chaos that ensues and I’m not quite sure what the real message is regarding that aspect of things; is it meant to say that things will not spiral even more out of control or will the majority of non-violent citizen rise up to stop things.
Either way, they definitely leave the story open for a sequel or two despite just having a shell of a story in this one.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Cassidy Freeman wore a piece of make-up and padding on her abdomen, to make her look pregnant. She would often stash snacks in it. (From IMDB)
Rating – BAFTA Worthy (6/10)

I completely agree with your rating! I did enjoy it more than the last Purge movie I watched, although I think I’ve missed atleast1 somewhere along the way.
