Number of Times Seen – 1 (21 Oct 2021)
Brief Synopsis – Documentary about the political life of Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
My Take on it – This is a film that I came across and was quite interested in seeing what it was all about.
Over the past two years the political climate in Israel has revolved so much around Benjamin Netanyahu and this film that was made even prior to those events keeps that same question in the forefront as to what makes a good political leader.
The film is completely unbalanced in its premise and does it’s best to smear its subject even tho this story is so similar to so many other political candidates over the decades in so many different countries around the world.
This film shows how the success to a political position is through hard work and changing one’s image and that is what politics is all about.
One can agree or disagree with a politicians politics, but that doesn’t quite change the fact that this is the heart of politics; gaining support from followers who have similar minded ideas.
Those on the opposing sides of the political aisle will obviously disagree, but that is all part of the game of politics.
This film does a wonderful job showing how a politician can change their image in order to be even more successful in all that they do.
The fine line between politics and acting is shown here really well, but that is essentially what politics is.
Despite this film attempting to show things in a more negative viewpoint, they still manage to explain how success like this can be achieved.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – In the Hebrew narration, Alon Aboutbul mispronounces Oprah Winfrey’s name as “Opera”. (From IMDB)
Rating – Globe Worthy (8/10)
