“You look so good with blond hair and black roots its like not even funny.” – Michele
Number of Times Seen – 1 (28 Oct 2021)
Brief Synopsis – Two ditsy blondes decide to go to their ten year high school reunion and pretend to be successful businesswomen.
My Take on it – This is a movie that I recall hearing about when it came out yet had absolutely no desire to see what it was all about.
The story itself is extremely silly and neither of these characters is interesting to watch.
Their antics aren’t funny at all and that makes it even harder to try and get through this relatively short 90 minute film.
Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow both have so much more potential than is realized here and it’s a real shame that they chose to take these roles.
The story moves along in a very strange way and even when they introduce new characters, it doesn’t help make things more enjoyable to watch unfold.
The story fails to bring any real laughs due to the silliness of it all and instead brings forth many moments where the viewer might want to roll their eyes instead of even emit a short chuckle.
This is definitely a film that can be easily skipped.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – An Oscar-winner and rising star at the time, Mira Sorvino’s career was all but ruined by Harvey Weinstein when he blacklisted her in Hollywood in retaliation for refusing his advances. Peter Jackson wanted to cast her in a major role in his Lord of the Rings trilogy, but Weinstein forbade it. (From IMDB)
Rating – Razzie Worthy (2/10)
