Brief Synopsis – A 40 year old enlists the help of his colleagues at work to finally find a way to “be” with a lady.

My Take on it – Hilarious movie that despite its risque themes works so well.

The cast is perfect here and helps make things feel so realistic the whole way through.

Judd Apatow knows how to make a fun and engaging story that keeps the viewer so invested from start to finish and that helps keep things so very fun to watch.

Steve Carrell is superb in the lead role and manages to keep things so real the entire time and this is obviously the role that helped make him a star.

The waxing scene is so real and both hilarious and scary to watch every time.

The camaraderie between the characters throughout the whole film and the way that they are constantly throw verbal jabs at one another is hilarious and keeps the viewer so entertained the entire time even with the way that they seem to constantly go to edge.

The dialogue is written so well and stays fun and engaging throughout which helps keep things so enjoyable to watch unfold.

Highly Recommended!

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – In a magazine interview, Judd Apatow revealed a trick behind the film’s success: during the first preview of the movie, he had actually recorded the preview audiences vocal reaction with a tape recorder. When it came to re-cutting the film for the general release, he trimmed the film in sync to the recorded reaction. The scenes that did not have audience reaction were either cut or trimmed (but reinserted in the Unrated edition). (From IMDB)

Rating – Oscar Worthy (9/10) (no change from original review)
