The Distraction Blogathon – Remember Me (2010)

This is a post dedicated to The Distraction Blogathon! taking place over at Taking Up Room this weekend.

Tnx Rebecca for letting me take part!

“Whatever you do in life will be insignificant, but it’s very important that you do it. Because nobody else will. Like when someone comes into your life and half of you says you’re nowhere near ready, but the other half says: make her yours forever.” – Tyler

Number of Times Seen – 1 (14 Nov 2021)

Brief Synopsis – Two people marred by the death of loved ones, find each other and try to make sense of the world they live in.

My Take on it – This is a film that I had never heard of before doing research for this blogathon and found out that it fits in so well with the theme.

The characters are all quite erratic here and so much of what happens seems to have them calling out for help deep down.

The way that they each keep secrets from one another further exacerbates the whole story.

Both Robert Pattenson and Emile de Ravin are great actors, but they terrible chemistry together which makes it even harder to truly care about anything they say or do along the way.

The supporting cast is also great with Lena Olin, Chris Cooper and Pierce Brosnan.

Brosnan really stands out tho because his character is so very different than the kind he usually plays.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t as interesting as I would have hoped for because there are too many plot holes along the way that are never really explained.

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – When casting, Twilight hadn’t come out yet, which means the producers had no idea the attention the movie was about to get when they cast Pattinson in the lead role of Tyler. “I didn’t know who he was,” Allen Coulter [Director] admitted. “That was an advantage, because I cast him just because I liked him.” (From IMDB)

Rating – Razzie Worthy (4/10)
