Under the Helmet: The Legacy of Boba Fett (2021)

“This is a good character. People like the bad guys.” – George Lucas

Number of Times Seen – 1 (14 Nov 2021)

Brief Synopsis – A documentary that explains the origin of one of most feared characters in the Star Wars Universe.

My Take on it – This is such a great documentary for fans of Star Wars and Boba Fett in particular.

They were able to get interviews with so many of the people responsible for the creation and eventual resurgence of the character.

These interviews are quite informative and eye opening because not only do they get to show the viewer the origins of the character, but they also show the whole process of thought that went into the development of this character.

The interviews with the various actors/stuntmen who portrayed the character in the suit is also great to hear because it also adds so much to the information already known about the character.

The fact that there is an upcoming TV series about the character of Boba Fett to be released on Disney+ soon also adds so much anticipation while one watches the history of the character with an eye towards the future of seeing where this character’s destiny lies.

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – During the development of Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980), Fett was originally conceived as a member of a group of white-armored Imperial “supercommandos” before the idea was scrapped in favor of a solitary bounty hunter. This concept later evolved into the Mandalorians, a cultural group with strong warrior traditions, who sport armor and helmets similar to Fett’s. (From IMDB)

Rating – Globe Worthy (8/10)
