Number of Times Seen – 1 (23 Nov 2021)
Brief Synopsis – A federal Agent is sent undercover into Appalachia in order to stop a company from continuing to dump toxic waste.
My Take on it – Another silly and pointless Steven Seagal movie.
The story is really weak and fails to do anything to try and support the cause that they are supposedly fighting for.
The action scenes are typical Seagal ones where the fight is far from fair and doesn’t take very long for the star to subdue his adversaries, no matter how big they may be.
The dialogue is delivered in a laughable way which obviously doesn’t help make any of the characters or the story more engaging or intriguing to watch unfold.
The supporting cast isn’t able to help make this any more watchable despite having Kris Kristofferson, Marg Helgenberger, Harry Dean Stanton and Stephen Lang along for the ride.
The villains all feel like caricatures and that doesn’t help make this any more watchable.
The film has some nice explosions, but there isn’t much else to glean from this terrible film.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – When Bruce Willis was attached as the lead, the screenplay by Jeb Staurt, was more a drama with detective elements. When Seagal came aboard after Willis departed, writer Phillip Morton was brought in to convert the material into an action film that incorporated the genre staples Seagal was famous for. (From IMDB)
Rating – Razzie Worthy (2/10)
