Number of Times Seen – 1 (23 Nov 2021)
Brief Synopsis – Mall Cop Paul Blart travels with his daughter to Las Vegas to give a key not speech at a security convention.
My Take on it – This is a film that I stayed far away from for years, but decided to finally check it out just to see if it has any merits what so ever… unfortunately, it doesn’t.
This is a horrendous movie that doesn’t add anything to the story of the characters from the first film.
Kevin James is a great physical comedy actor and he delivers in that field once again here, but the story is so silly and doesn’t come across in any kind of realistic manner at all.
The concept of the film doesn’t work well at all and they never find any way for the viewer to really care about anything that happens along the way.
This is definitely a movie that probably never should have been green-lit, but by some miraculous reason, it was made.
I’m glad that I avoided it for so many years, but that doesn’t help make up for the fact that it’s a real waste of time watching this even though is comes in at a lean 94 minutes.
The villains are laughable and the plot is pretty silly which doesn’t help make this more enjoyable at all.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – A producer has stated that a character called “The Shadowman” was going to appear in the film. The character was going to be a god-like being who put Paul Blart through his trials. After a great amount of discussion, it was decided that they remove the character, seeing that the studio wanted to keep the film grounded in reality. (From IMDB)
Rating – Razzie Worthy (2/10)
