Brief Synopsis – After two Jedi’s sent on a mission of peace are attacked, they must try and get back safely to the Jedi Temple in order to report on the atrocities.

My Take on it – This is a movie that was so highly anticipated when it came out since it had been 16 years since the previous film in the series was released.

The hype around it was too much and despite having a great story that tells the tale of the beginning of this epic story, certain aspects of it still fall flat for most people.

George Lucas once again proves how amazing a storyteller he is with this film, but at the same time, also shows that he doesn’t know how to properly write dialogue for his characters.

Being immersed in this rich world again is so enjoyable because of the expanding universe of characters and inhabitants of this Galaxy Far Far Away.

The pod race is amazing to watch because of its fast pace and the way that it makes this worked even more lived in and un-prestine in all that transpires.

The cast is great with Liam Neeson, Ewan MacGregor, Natalie Portman, Samuel L. Jackson and Ian MacDiarmid all bring some new and intriguing characters to the saga that enhances things so much.

John Williams score is excellent and adds so much to the atmosphere of the film.

The special effects are absolutely amazing to watch due to the way that they help make things seem even more realistic in this world that they inhabit.

This may not be the best film in the saga, yet it still lays so much groundwork for everything that comes before and after it so that in and of itself helps make things so much more enjoyable and fun to watch over and over.

Highly Recommended!

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Liam Neeson was so eager to be in the film that he signed on without having read the script. (From IMDB)

Rating – Oscar Worthy (9/10) (no change from original review)
