“Ho-ho-ho, you son of a fish.” – Cody
Number of Times Seen – 1 (21 Dec 2021)
Brief Synopsis – A teenager gets a magic pen that brings to life anything that it draws.
My Take on it – This was a truly horrendous film and the fact that the characters, cast and crew know this doesn’t help make it any more enjoyable to watch.
The premise of a magic pen like the one here is a great idea, yet they for some reason chose to utilize it in this kind of environment and essentially wasted it for future (more intelligent and enjoyable) ideas.
The cast is so unmemorable in all that they do and that hurts things so much because the viewer doesn’t care at all who will become fodder for this shark and in some ways can actually root for the shark to kill all of these annoying characters along the way.
The story has far too many inconsistencies for its own good and makes it even an even larger mockery because so little of what happens actually makes sense.
The film has some nice puns, but they over-use that ploy and in the end it gets quite unbearable to listen to the constant barrage of puns one after another.
This is a very low budget film and the seams show far too often as things unfold which takes away from any kind of real impact that this story could possibly evoke.
The way that things play out is far too predictable and fails to really give any surprises as things become more and more apparent of what is really happening.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – When the Shark goes after Clark his hat is clearly wet. Seconds later when he goes after Jena it is clearly dry. (From IMDB)
Rating – Razzie Worthy (1/10)
