Number of Times Seen – 1 (2 Jan 2022)
Brief Synopsis – A woman tries to taunt her ex-husbands new fiancee.
My Take on it – This is a movie that comes across as being far too predictable for its own good.
The cast is great with Katherine Heigl and Rosario Dawson both giving nice performances despite a heavy handed script.
The story itself follows the normal tropes of the genre and fails to bring anything really new to the forefront.
There area few nice scenes that add to the suspense of the story, but the rest is too messy to feel more engaging or enjoyable to watch as it plays out.
Heigl is much better as a neurotic woman seeking true love in rom-coms than she is here as a devious woman with obvious psychological problems.
There are far too many plot holes here that derail things because it makes things even less plausible when trying to put it all together in a more proper way.
The scenes that are meant to be suspenseful just don;t work well enough in conveying to the viewer that these characters are really affected by all that transpires here.
This movie fails to really bring anything new to the genre of women who act in grievous ways when they believe that they were jilted by their men.
The film’s title is completely wrong… it is quite forgettable.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – When Tessa is sitting at her computer looking at her and David’s wedding photos, the photos are Katherine Heigl’s actual wedding photos from her marriage to Josh Kelly. This is why the photos do not show the groom’s face. (From IMDB)
Rating – Razzie Worthy (4/10)
