January is my birthday month, so I decided that I would try and do something quite unique and special for this milestone in my life. I will be turning 48, so I decided to watch 49 (48+1 for good luck) of my all time favorite movies in a random order over the course of this month. I have reviewed every one of these films already, but I will now give new perspectives on them all. Every one of these films received a 10/10 scoring from me. Some of these reviews will contain spoilers so if you have never seen them before, I recommend that you read some of my previous reviews of the film that are spoiler free before reading on…
Hope you enjoy!
This is film #29 of the 49.
Let’s continue with…
“Let me just say, if aliens wind up implanting eggs in my chest or something and I eat one of you, I’m sorry.” – Peter Parker
“I don’t want another single pop culture reference out of you for the rest of the trip. You understand?” – Tony Stark
Initial Viewing Memories – Amazing film to watch on the big screen and it was great to finally see all of the characters of the MCU band together after a decade of films.
Number of Times Seen – 6 times (8 May 2018, 23 Oct 2018, 24 Apr 2019, 10 Dec 2019, 10 Aug 2020 and 18 Jan 2022)

Brief Synopsis – Thanos finally begins to collect the Infinity Stones and the various heroes of the MCU band together to try and stop him.
My Take on it – Amazing film that is the culmination of over 20 solo films that finally shows the power of the Marvel Superheroes when they work together as a team.
The story does a wonderful job breaking them all up into teams to try and stop this Galactic threat and the long runtime of over 2 and a half hours is quite justified because so much is going on.
The idea to mix and match characters who already know one another with unfamiliar faces (to them) adds so much to the film because it truly shows how important team work is when fighting for a similar cause.
The story leads up to a great climax that leaves things as a very big cliffhanger which essentially forced us all to wait a year to find out what happens.
Watching this together with its immediate sequel shed so much more light on how things play out and I’m glad that the year wait only happened once because now we can all experience both films back to back.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – The filmmakers had a phrase to describe characters meeting and interacting for the first time that they called “strange alchemy”. The conflict of personalities between Tony Stark and Doctor Strange is a perfect example of this. (From IMDB)
Rating – Oscar Worthy (10/10) (no change from original review)
