Brief Synopsis – Two imbeciles take a cross country trek in order to return a missing briefcase.
My Take on it – This is a movie that I have never had any desire to see because it looked far too silly in my eyes.
Since ZI’m trying to watch more movie with Jim Carrey in them, I decided to finally give it a shot.
This film completely lived up to my expectations and it was truly horrendous.
The characters played by Carrey and Jeff Daniels are played far too stupidly and they never reach a point where they can be endearing to the audience.
Their antics are played out in too much of a silly fashion and instead of it being humorous, it all comes across as being far too annoying the whole way through.
The plot itself is extremely silly and they try too hard to copy other films with similar road trio idea but in this case, they completely fail along the way which is quite a shame because there is so much more potential here.
even the supporting cast of Lauren Holly, Mike Starr Charles Rocket and Teri Garr doesn’t help salvage this movie from being an utter mess from start to finish.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – After scamming Seabass to pay for their bill, Lloyd says he saw it on a movie. The movie he is speaking of is Something Wild (1986) and the guy who pulls the scam is played by Jeff Daniels. (From IMDB)
