Brief Synopsis – The adventures of a young Han Solo as he tries to find his place in a galaxy far far away.
My Take on it – Great prequel that does a wonderful job introducing the character of Han Solo. Obviously, they go slightly overboard with explanations of future aspects of the character but since that’s expected, it works really well for the fans. The story is does as a heist and it plays out so well especially given the various twists and turns along the way. Alden Ehrenreich easily steps into Harrison Ford’s shoes here and makes us believe that he is just a younger version of the character. The special effects are great and add so much to the feel of things in the ‘lived-in’ world. This film gets better and better every time I see it especially when I notice new and fun things each time. It’s too bad they stopped making these anthology films even if they have moved them to be TV series because the spectical of it as a 2 hour movie is more powerful to watch.
Highly Highly Recommended!
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Ron Howard said that one of the best experiences on this movie was directing Chewbacca, and getting a hug from him. (From IMDB)
Rating – Oscar Worthy (10/10) (no change from original review)
