“Your stupid, but not that stupid Ash.”
“You what is stupid Ed? Stupid is getting yourself killed for a stranger.” – Ash
“I’m a marine you idiot. That’s what we do.” – Ed

Brief Synopsis – As a small group of people get stranded in a rest stop in a snowstorm, one of them discovers a kidnapped child in a car and must try and figure out how to save her while also trying to find out the identity of the kidnapper.
My Take on it – This is a movie that I came across by accident and had no clue what to expect from it.
They do a nice job keeping things thrilling especially given the way that the audience finds out information along with the characters.
This kind of story has no real need for developing any of the characters on a deep level, but they still manage to adequately differentiate between them with some small anecdotes that help define each of their stereotypes.
Love the way that the film expertly deals with the story with so few characters who each are able to hold their own even when they throw a bunch of red herring our way.
Even after the identity of the kidnapper is revealed, the story manages to still raise the suspense level more and more as things move forward.
The cast is almost entirely unrecognizable but I liked seeing Dennis Haysbert in one of the significant roles that fits him so well.
This movie would have been more enjoyable if they found a way to make things a bit more complex because as it is, it feels too simplistic despite the various twists.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Based on the book of the same name. (From IMDB)
Rating – BAFTA Worthy (6/10)
