“Either you’re Santa Claus or you’re dead, pal.” – Jack Caine
Number of Times Seen – 1 (1 Mar 2022)
Brief Synopsis – A detective trying to find the killer of his partner ends up teaming up with a FBI agent after they discover two warring aliens are in town.
My Take on it – Terrible film that doesn’t work at all.
This film came out at a time when movies featuring aliens were quite prevalent and the potential for something better is there, but is easily squandered along the way here.
The special effects are horrendous and don’t add anything to the story at all and in fact detract from it instead.
The plot is inconsequential and nothings that happens here really helps try and make the semblance of a plot more forward.
The characters are all caricatures and none are developed enough to really care about any of them because they all seems so superficial as they are used as canon fodder.
Dolph Lundgren is so wooden in this film which makes it even harder to either believe or even care about what his character does along the way.
The one thing I did love about this film tho was the appearance of Sam Anderson as the top villain.
He has always been such a great actor and quite often played lovable guys, but in this movie, he is cast completely against type, yet still rocks the few scenes that he appears in.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Dolph Lundgren delivers a roundhouse kick to one of the bad guys upon entering a building. The kick connected and knocked out the actor because the actor missed his mark. (From IMDB)
Rating – Razzie Worthy (2/10)
