Brief Synopsis – After having the world find out his secret identity, Peter Parker tries to find a way to make everyone forget, but things get quite complicated along the way.
My Take on it – This is one of the best films in the MCU as well as being a great addition to the storyline of Spider-Man.
Peter Parker has always tried to deal with the idea of having a secret identity and this film shows what can happen if that secret is let out.
The way that they open the story up and bring in the element of a multiverse is superbly done and adds so much to the way that this film can engage and entertain.
The choice to have multiple villains also works within the scheme of things and I love how they managed to do this.
Having Doctor Strange play an integral part of this story also works in taking thisngs to a new level especially given the fact that this is the first really powerful film of the recent MCU phase and it starts to give some hints as to where things are going even if it doesn’t clearly state things for us.
The way that Peter learns to work as part of a team is also a great stepping stone for his character if he chooses to continue to connect to the other characters of the MCU in a much larger scope.
Tom Holland once again proves how great a choice it was to have him portray this character since he is able to play things in a very innocent way, but also step up when needed throughout.
This is the film that brings the character of Peter Parker into adulthood and his journey there was handled so well which helps give us such a well developed and complex character to want to see even more over the coming years.
Highly Highly Recommended!
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – This film marks the first MCU trilogy to be directed by the same director: Jon Watts. All previous film franchises, such as Iron Man, The Avengers, and Captain America, had only two consistent directors throughout their respective trilogies. (From IMDB)
Rating – Oscar Worthy (10/10) (no change from original review)
