Brief Synopsis – A woman discovers photos of powerful people in compromising positions and enlists the help of her estranged husband to make some money off of them.
My Take on it – Great cast, terrible execution. The story is a familiar premise and the choice to relocate it to the 50’s helps a bit, but overall this movie just doesn’t work very well. Basinger and Bridges have no chemistry together and it constantly makes one wonder how their characters at some point we’re deeply committed to one another. The story moves at a pretty slow pace and that doesn’t help make it any easier to try and watch this unfold.
