Brief Synopsis – After the patriarch of the family dies, it’s up to his eldest son to make sure everything is taken care of perfectly despite the various eccentricities of his siblings and the rest of the extended family.
My Take on it – Fun film that works due to the family squabbles and the diverse way that each of the characters are developed. Great cast with Bob Hoskins leading the way. The way that each of the siblings has their own little secrets works really well in helping to keep this film engaging the whole way through. In addition to Hoskins, the film features Jack Warden, Maureen Stapleton, Pamela Reed, Tim Curry, Frances McDormand and William Petersen to name just a few.
