Brief Synopsis – Newt and his allies continue their fight against the evil emerging from the Wizardry World.

My Take on it – Great sequel that does a wonderful job continuing the adventures of the characters introduced in the first film.

The story once again is able to keep itself distanced from the tropes of the Harry Potter films and are able to come into their own with everything that transpires here.

The film introduces some great new characters and concepts to the story that enhance things so much.

The story is slightly weaker than the previous one and doesn’t work as well, yet still manages to accomplish quite a lot along the way.

Similar to the previous film, they keep things self contained but also leave aspects open in order to continue with the further adventures of these characters.

Love how Dumbledore played by Jude Law has more to do with this story line even if much of it takes place within the shadows because it expands on the personality and reverance of the character who we will get to know from a whole different perspective in the Harry Potter series itself.

Recommended!

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – As with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016), animal making required months of graphic, pattern, and animation testing to determine the appearance, behavior, movements, attitude, and personality of each creature. J.K. Rowling was inspired, for many of them, by legendary creatures from different cultures, such as the Chinese Zouwu, the Scottish Kelpie and the French Matagot. (From IMDB)

Rating – Globe Worthy (7/10) (no change from original review)
