Brief Synopsis – Years after the previous blunders of setting up an Amusement Park with Dinosaurs, two teens are sent to visit their aunt who runs a new park, but history is bound to repeat itself.

My Take on it – This is a film that many people were waiting for for many years.

The overall premise seems a bit too similar to the original idea, yet they find ways to make the story and characters still feel unique and innovative in all that they say and do.

The cast is great with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard doing nice jobs as the leads.

The story deal much with the various philosophical and practical aspects of having these kind of creatures in an amusement park environment.

They do a nice job showing how the greed of businesses and the attempt to weaponize the animals could affect so many other decisions that might seem like good ones on their own.

They manage to keep things thrilling and suspenseful while also using modern special effects to make things look even more realistic the whole way through even if the film is still missing the magic of the original.

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – The gyrosphere was executive producer Steven Spielberg’s idea. According to director Colin Trevorrow, Spielberg “wanted to create a way for people to get up close and personal with the animals, to make it a self-driving, free-roaming experience. It loads on a track, but once you’re out there, you actually get to navigate around the valley”, in contrast to the confined Ford Explorer tour SUVs from Jurassic Park (1993). (From IMDB)

Rating – Globe Worthy (7/10) (no change from original review)
