“We’re racing toward the extinction of our species. We not only lack dominion over nature, we’re subordinate to it.” – Ian Malcolm
Number of Times Seen – 1 (14 Jul 2022)
Brief Synopsis – Humans and Dinosaurs try to find a way to co-exist in the new world created once Isla Naublar was destroyed a few years earlier.
My Take on it – The series is back in form here as they manage to let the story come full circle.
The return of Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard works really well as they find a way to bridge the gap between the two ‘sections’ of the series.
The film realizes a world where Dinosaurs roam the planet freely and the various conflicts between human and the animals.
I really enjoyed the way that this story plays out and the various connections to the previous films is fun to watch out for along the way.
The special effects are once again amazing here and they let things look and feel so realistic on how a world can be populated by both species.
The scientific aspects of the story also work really well in showing how having a world like this could be advantages to the advancement of science and make the world a better place to live.
As with all of the sequels, this film is missing part of the magic of the original film, yet still finds interesting ways to add to the story and keep things intriguing throughout.
I’m not sure where they will be able to take things from here, but I’m sure more films in the series will eventually come our way, hopefully keeping the storytelling level nice and high like they do here.

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – When Jeff Goldblum found out he was appearing with his two co-stars from the the original film, he wrote on Instagram about Colin Trevorrow a line he said in the original, “You did it, you crazy son of a bitch, you did it.” He also added, “happy as a clamasaurus to be reunited with my brilliant costars from the original Jurassic Park Laura Dern and Sam Neill for the next installment of Jurassic World… Coming soon!!” (From IMDB)
Rating – Globe Worthy (8/10)
