Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)

“[to Evelyn] Most people only have a few significant alternate life paths so close to them. But you, here, you’re capable of anything, because you’re so bad at everything.” – Waymond Wang

Number of Times Seen – 1 (21 Jul 2022)

Brief Synopsis – A woman is visited by her husband from another dimension who is there to help her save the multi-verse.

My Take on it – This was a horrendous mess. The film’s story isn’t consistent at all and as hard as they try, it all just comes across as seeming garbled. Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan are both great here, but even their performances can’t help make this more comprehensive. The special effects are the best part of this film, but with such a strange plot, even that can’t help save it all. This is all so unfortunate because I had such high hopes for this film being so much more enjoyable.

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – All the VFX for this film was done by 9 people, including the two directors, with the majority of the shots being done by a core group of 5 people. None of the VFX team went to school for VFX. They were all friends who taught themselves with tutorials they found online for free. (From IMDB)

Rating – Razzie Worthy (1/10)
